Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite confirms it: they've gone and developed their own language, the little blighters!In fact, 'Hamha!' would have been a better word to kick off with, because that's secret Ham-Chat for 'Hi!'. It's just one of 85 words you'll have to master as you explore the world of the Ham-Hams and endeavour to reunite all your hamster buddies back at the Clubhouse, where the oversized Boss is waiting.Learning new Ham-Chat and recording it in your Ham-Ham notebook is your means to progressing through Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite. A simple 'Hamha!' is often enough to get your furry friends chatting away and filling up your dictionary: but experimenting with your vocab can also net interesting results. 'Tack-Q!' (roll), for example, sends your Ham-Ham scuttling into trees, often dislodging hiding Ham-Hams who'll then spill even more new words into your little hamster brain.'Hif-Hif'ing and 'Digdig'ing (sniffing and digging) - your other two basic commands - will uncover new items, such as sunflower seeds which can be used to buy new outfits for your little friend. But the real joy comes from testing out new words you've learned. Such as the self-explanatory 'Go-P'. There's a different hamster animation for each word - you really have to heart made of granite not to have eyes brimming with tears at the sheer loveability of it all.Agonisingly catchy music tinkles away as you explore gardens, supermarkets, school yards and more from the perspective of a seven centimetre-high ball of orange hair. In fact, music is a Ham-Ham's second love after sunflower seeds. In Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!, you can create unique Ham-Jam dances by stringing together the words you've learned - then use the Game Link Cable to share them with your buddies.
